Hi, I’m Shawn. Born and raised in Christchurch New Zealand, I trained and worked at the award-winning George Boutique Hotel for four years before packing my bags and setting out to explore our great wide world.
Between adventures, I had the privilege to work in some amazing restaurants and learn from critically acclaimed, passionate and talented chefs throughout New Zealand, the UK and Australia.
It was during my time in Scotland, however, that I met my Australian wife and followed her home to the Gold Coast. While we continued to explore our beautiful planet, we’re not quite as nomadic as we once were and I’ve spent the last decade working for the man, running kitchens in various hotels and cafes in Brisbane and on the coast.
Now, as a father of 2 little girls, with a continuing passion for travel, surfing, and doing things a little differently, it is finally time to launch my own brand- Rebel Fork.
